OUR MISSION
A Collective Committed to Excellence
The Homeopathic Education Alliance represents a collective of homeopathic schools and educators committed to advancing homeopathic education in the United States and fostering a collaborative profession.
Homeopathic education is at the core of the future of homeopathy as we train new professional homeopaths. Our goal is to create a cohesive profession, one in which homeopathic organizations work together for the common good of the homeopathic community.
oUR FOUNDATION
Core Values & Standards
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
We are committed to providing homeopathic education and to supporting the development of professional standards of homeopathic practice.
TRADITIONAL & MODERN KNOWLEDGE
We support the vision of a homeopathic profession that embraces the best of traditional and modern knowledge in homeopathic practice.
RIGOROUS TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
We recognize that a professional level of homeopathic education requires three to four years of study and agree with the standards as laid down by the Council for Homeopathic Certification (CHC), which asks for 1,000 hours of education - 500 hours of didactic and 500 hours of clinical education and supervision.
A SELF-REGULATED PROFESSION
We believe that homeopathy should be a self-regulated profession, and that standards of homeopathic education and practice should be defined by the profession itself. We are in favor of accrediting bodies that can represent the whole profession and ensure standards are maintained.
SUPPORTING ALL PROFESSIONAL BODIES
We support all professional homeopathic bodies that support the development of the homeopathic profession, including educational institutions, accredited certifying organizations, such as the CHC, and professional membership bodies.
COLLABORATION OVER COMPETITION
We seek to work with all homeopathic organizations that are collaborating with each other to achieve harmonious and respectful relations. We do not see each other as competitors but in collaboration for the further evolution of the homeopathic profession.
ACCESSIBLE EDUCATION FOR ALL
We are committed to working with any homeopathic educational organization - from introductory learning to post-graduate training - in order to offer homeopathic education to as many people as possible.
We will work to ensure that professional standards of homeopathic education are upheld in the United States, especially as a plethora of online training programs are now being offered, often not based in the country.
UPHOLDING STANDARDS IN THE UNITED STATES
GLOBAL ALLIANCE & SHARED RESOURCES
We seek to ally ourselves with international homeopathic organizations aiming for the same goals - collaborating with all homeopathic schools to raise standards through sharing resources, materials, and ideas, and to foster educational gatherings thoughout the country.
